The snap-on lid seals tightly enough that I’m not smelling last night’s potato peels in the morning, and it’s surprisingly easy to empty into the compost bin.

The clear window on the front makes it easy to see how full it is without opening the lid. I’ve been tossing banana peels in there all week and it feels great knowing they’re on their way to generating power instead of just rotting in a landfill.

The lid fits so snugly that even after a week of collecting scraps, there’s zero smell in the kitchen—the little clip really holds it shut. Plus, the idea that my banana peels could power a lamp for 34 minutes makes me feel less guilty about tossing them.
